1. Penguin


They are a part of Penguin Random House, which is one of the world’s largest publishers. It was started in India in the year 1985 and is the largest trade publisher in English in the country. They are also publishing in other Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam, etc. 

The critically acclaimed titles published by them include God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai. They have also published books written by renowned personalities like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Shashi Tharoor, Ruskin Bond, and new-age authors like Durjoy Datta, Novonel Chakraborty, etc.

2. HarperCollins

3. Pan Macmillan India

Pan Macmillan is a part of Macmillan Publishers, a global trade publishing group. It was set up in the year 1998. They accept manuscripts that have a strong connection to India or the Indian subcontinent. They cover various sub-genres under fiction and non-fiction genres and reference publishing. 

The company has now added Pan and Macmillan, two new imprints to cover its local commercial fiction and non-fiction publishing. They have published books of renowned authors like Ramachandra Guha, Kunal Basu, and Amitava Kumar.
